Archive Reprocessing Backup

The current automated Archive reprocessing creates a backup of the original archive in the archive directory. This can lead to a situation where the archive drive runs out of space. It would be useful to be able to configure the backup location for the reprocessed archives. This should be a tuning parameter.

    hi! Are you interested in just automatic clean up of old backups (when reprocessing does not encounter any errors) or an alternative backup location for reprocessing? In PI Data Archive 2016, we introduced a feature in which a user can reprocess an archive without taking it offline. Are you using this feature or are you using offline reprocessing? If you are interested in automatically cleaning up space, in PI Data Archive 2016 R2 in conjunction with PI System Management Tools 2016 R2, you can trigger a reprocess as well as an automatic deletion of the old archive if reprocessing does not encounter any errors.
