In SMT there is the PIPOINT security table. When any new points get created it uses the PIPOINT table for the default security configuration. I would like to have a separate table for any points created from AF, so that they inherit a different set of defaults than the pipoint table

After further investigation, we have no plans to implement this.
This would be very useful to have.
Everyone needs access to the PIPOINT table in order to read data. This means that every new PI Point created can be read by everyone until the security settings are changed.
As a workaround we currently have to have attributes with the data security and point security settings we want stored in a string attribute and then reference those attributes during point creation.
