Be able to change an element's template from the General tab in PI System Explorer

Changing an element's template would be easier if it could be done from the General after clicking on the element in PI System Explorer, similar to how the base template of element templates can be changed from the General tab. Template changes are common in the case where the user only realizes similarities between equipment (especially seemingly dissimilar equipment, such as a door and a conveyor belt) after they have all been added to the PI Asset Framework. This leads to a new element template being created and all of the similar equipment inheriting from this new template.

    When a user is on the General tab of an element, the element has already been highlighted in the elements tree. Users can right-click in the elements tree to change element template. In general, PI System Explorer user interface tries to mimic Windows Explorer behavior. We currently have no plans to implement this request.
