More flexible search results for PI Builder

Allow users more selection of which columns to include in search results (before tag selection). Some customers may wish to reference tag metadata that cannot currently be displayed, including InstrumentTag and UserInt1. Note that this is not referring to the information PI Builder puts into an Excel file, but the results of the tag search before even selecting which metadata for each tag to include in the Excel export.

    I came here to post this recommendation. I agree that this should be implemented. These search result features were in PI-SMT and are very missed in PI Builder. I like to be able to search for tags on a DA and the in the results right click to add Location1 so I can see what the next instance I can use. We should be allowed to add any of the db fields to the results page so we can review the tag attributes before selecting a group of tags - to ensure we are selecting the correct tags.

    As an administrator, a large portion of the role is generating PI tag names and metadata configuration. Most of this work is done by finding a comparable tag in the system, and ensuring the new PI tag name aligns with what is already in the system. Having an Advanced PI Tag search, similar to the one in PI ProcessBook, would allow Administrators to quickly search, view and compare the PI Tag configuration across the database. Although Administrators could generate Excel sheets with this configuration, that is much for time-consuming than the Advanced PI Tag Search tool. Proposal: In PI Builder > Find PI Points... > in the results section, allow the columns to be fully-customizable, e.g. add Userint1 or InstrumentTag. Additionally, permit searching on any metadata attribute
