In the Configuration database, use an "SMTP Server" element template

The element "\\\Configuration\OSIsoft\PIANO\DeliveryChannel" has a child element that has a set of "SMTPServer" attributes and a similar set of "BackupSMTPServer" attributes. Please extract each set into its own child element. Each child element should be based on a new "SMTP Server" element template. There are several reasons for this: • Readability & organization • To formally define the similarity of the sets of attributes • Promote good practices for creating PI Asset Framework hierarchies • It opens up the possibility of having additional backup SMTP servers

    The Configuration database is meant for storing application specific needs. This database is not meant to be browsed or consumed by end users manually thus users should only be interacting with this database with careful guidance from OSIsoft tech support. OSIsoft reserves the right to change the format. Any changes in the Configuration database format is done with great care due to the need to support upgrading versions. As such, regrettably we're declining this suggestion.
