Analysis Brace matching and putting comments

Customer would like to have Brace/Parenthesis matching and adding comments (e.g. //) functions in Analysis Expression like programming languages.

    As already noted, inline comments are currently supported. Separate comments as a "variable" is also supported. In terms of the matching braces/brackets, we have no plans to implement that as Asset Analytics and PI System Explorer are not meant to be a full development environment like Visual Studio and turning it into a full development environment is too heavy weight.

    Brace matching would probably be nice. Comments are already supported - C style single and multiline comments are both available (though probably poorly documented).

    I would prefer to have separate comment entries, not only inline comments. When I move a variable to another position I do not want the comment to be moved automatically as well.

    In response to Holger Joist, "I would prefer to have separate comment ..." Have you considered adding  a "variable" at the top of the analysis that is nothing but comments?
