Allow you to right-click on an element in the tree and and pop-up a box that searches for all PI Point DR attributes in this element and down the tree from this element with the path, the value, and the configuration string. Supported by a search icon after the config string. In this way - you could audit all of the tags in a given area and fix broken links and find missing links and readily update your PI tag references for a selected area without using PI Buildier/Excel. Allow a click box to filter for "configuration items" property only to filter out the result of calculations (auto-built) tags..
Several comments on this 1) using a filter by configuration item wouldn't help - but being able to exclude calculations (with a radio button) might help - another radio button could be for searching down the tree to child, etc.. elements
2) this idea could help customers who are moving away from Microsoft Office towards Google Docs or other products - because PI Builder isn't a practical way to edit Tag / attribute references in bulk
3) it may be good to add another column to the table for last update - which would allow you to see if the value is not only reasonable but when it last updated. if columns were sortable - it would allow for looking for stale tag to attribute references. .
4) in addition to a tag search icon to search an associated PI DA for tags, it would also be good to have an attribute to attribute search button so you could find attributes to reference for this - even if they were in another PI AF database (like those built by an adapter or connector)
