Add inherent support for AF File attributes defined on Elements, for use in the outbound email message, instead of the current model of allowing user to upload a file directly to the notification. When defined on Element, the AF Attribute can be unique to that element, or even provide extension with custom data references that manage complex file management operations.

Given that with notifications 2016 R2 you can either embed or attach an AF File, it should satisfy your request. If you need more, please let us know.
As of 2016 R2, Notifications supports AF Files natively. As long as the attribute returns an AFFile object, Notifications can download the file from the attribute and attach it to emails when configured to do so.
