When a failover occur or at service startup, ALL analysis configured for backfilling executes based on the last configured backfill/recalculate timerange.
There is actually no feature to manually remove a configured backfill on a specific analysis.
I have a customer which is willing to have this feature as well. When the analysis service does the backfilling it also tries to backfill the analysis which are not configured to save output history. It gives and error "Backfilling/Recalculation requires one or more mapped outputs to be configured to save output history" and stays showing that error.
for us it will be very helpful : it will prevent backfill on no output analysis and and also for those that simply do not need it.
it will also speed up the restart of An Svc backfill itself.
First a quick comment on this - Analysis Service auto-backfilling currently will not execute for outputs that are not saved to PI Points.
As to the idea of user designating which analysis can be configured to not auto backfilled, we will evaluate this idea and prioritize it along with the rest of the backlog.
